ÆTHERNET (Pty) Ltd (“AETHERNET”, “we”, “us”) is the responsible party for personal information collected via this website and through our services. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Information we collect
- Identification & contact details you submit via our forms (name, address, phone, email).
- Service technical data necessary to provision and operate your link (e.g. CPE identifiers, IP allocations, traffic counters — not content).
- Billing information necessary to invoice you.
- Basic anonymous website analytics to improve usability.
Why we collect it
- To respond to enquiries and quote, install and support your services.
- To comply with our legal obligations, including ICASA and RICA requirements.
- To bill, account and recover debts.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with operators we use to deliver our services (e.g. fibre network operators, payment processors, accounting software) under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing accounts@aethernet.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
